By now we all know the basis for every great makeup look is healthy, glowy skin. Which is why MAC Cosmetics’ foray into skin care makes perfect sense. The new Hyper Real skin-care line was born of the brand’s artists “deep understanding of skin care in relation to makeup.” The line features three new products that are intended to not only prime skin but also improve it.
The line includes a Hyper Real Fresh Canvas Cleansing Oil ($48), and the Hyper Real Serumizer Skin Balancing Hydration Serum ($55) and Hyper Real SkinCanvas Balm Moisturizing Cream ($49). Each product features hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, ceramides and Japanese peony extract.
Dominic Skinner, MAC global senior artist notes the Hyper Real Serumizer “creates the smoothest canvas to then apply makeup while delivering the perfect mix of special ingredients to give you the best-looking skin both instantly and over time. As a makeup artist, it really is the ultimate in skin care to wear.”
The tagline for the collection is “Science-backed, Makeup artist approved,” giving it the immediate seal of approval from MAC’s professional artists. “I love how all three products provide instant smoothness on their own, but when they are combined together, it’s magical!” says Rumiko Ikeda Harris, MAC senior artist, Japan. “For drier skin types or skin that needs an extra boost of soothing hydration, I like to blend Hyper Real SkinCanvas Balm on top of Hyper Real Serumizer.”
